309 Restoration

Close-up of 870's unsightly instrument panel, It has since been restored to Vietnam era gray. Peter Olesko at work on 65-09870, soon to be Emu 309. Nose of 870 in process of being stripped, overhauled and repainted. 870 with engine and tail boom removed.

 

EMU 309 prior to mounting the Main and Tail Rotor Systems. EMU 309 gets her engine back and the new paint is applied to the fuselage. EMU 309 gets her tail numbers put on exactly like the original. EMU 309's cockpit, as well as the troop cabin gets put back to Vietnam era colors.
